Disintegrators

Disintegrators are basically a shredder which cuts the product into very fine pieces.
They usually have either three or five blades spinning quite fast on a rotor, with a very small tolerence between them and two fixed or counter knives. The shredded material then has to pass through a perforated screen in the base of the disintegrator. The hole sizes in this screen determine the size of the finished shredded particle.
They are almost always used to shred material of a very sensitive, or highly confidential nature. They are suitable for the destruction of paper, fabric, and plastic products.
Waste Initiatives sell a range of disintigrators, from machines which destroy from a few kilograms per hour, up to tonnes per hour.
